문빔 시티의 제작자인 Scott Gairdner가 2009년에 제작한 패러디 영상으로, 1988년 미국 플로리다 주의 마이애미에서 성범죄자들이 노래를 부르면서 자신을 소개한다는 내용이다.
2. 상세
도입부에서 경찰관 Raymond H. Karr가 '마이애미 데이드 카운티 주민들은 안전을 위해서 자신의 주변에 사는 성범죄자들의 신상 정보를 알 필요가 있다.'면서 공익 광고 영상을 공개한다고 밝힌다. 그 다음부터 성범죄들이 춤을 추면서 합창을 하더니 한 명씩 돌아가면서 자신들의 신상정보와 전과를 랩 형식으로 공개한다.영상을 제대로 살펴보면 패러디임을 쉽게 알 수 있다. 처음 등장하는 경찰의 가짜 콧수염부터 어색함을 드러낸다. 2번째로 노래를 부르는 Vernon Douglas는 이 영상의 제작자인 스콧 본인이고 Laura Hughes는 그의 여자친구인 Erin pade이다. 그 외의 다른 출연자들도 모두 스콧이 유튜브 활동을 하기 전부터 만났던 친구들이다 #. 게다가 Sam Pound가 부르는 부분을 노골적으로 검열한다거나 샷건을 장전하는 등 황당한 장면들이 연속적으로 이어지며 영상의 마지막엔 분명하게 scottgairdner.com라고 명시되어있다.
어찌됐든 우스꽝스러운 연출로 웃음을 유발한 이 영상의 파급력이 상당하였기 때문에 현재 4000만이 넘는 조회수를 기록하고 있다. 그리고 이 영상이 업계 사람들에게 주목을 받았는지 이후 스콧이 관련 업종에서 일할 수 있는 기회가 많이 생겼다. 앞서 언급했던 문빔 시티가 대표적이다.
