Metro Boomin과 G Koop이 프로듀싱하고, Lil Uzi Vert가 피쳐링했다.

2. 상세

제목인 'Bad and Boujee'의 뜻은 '섹시하고 부티나는'이라는 뜻이다.

이견이 없는 Migos의 대표곡이며, 2010년대 미국 힙합씬을 상징하는, 당대 가장 영향력 있는 명곡으로 평가받는다. 빌보드 3주 1위를 달성하였으며, 2017년 대중음악계를 통틀어 가장 인기 있는 곡 중 하나로 꼽힌다.[1] Bad and Boujee는 전 해의[2] Panda가 제시한, 멜로디가 없는 초기의 멈블 랩 유행을 폭발시킨 노래로, Bad and Boujee가 촉발시킨 멈블 랩 트렌드는 2018년까지 계속되었으며,[3] 2019년 이후로는 멈블 랩에 영향을 받은 싱잉 랩이 유행하기 시작하여[4] 미고스식 음악은 사장되었지만, 이 노래는 2010년대 힙합을 대표하는 곡들 중 하나로 반드시 꼽히며 나아가 힙합 역사상 가장 영향력 있는 곡들 중 하나로 꼽힌다. 이러한 영향력에 힘입어 비록 하위권(400위권대)이기는 하지만 2021년 롤링 스톤 선정 500대 명곡에 랭크되었다. 현 시점에서는 '멈블 랩', '트랩' 장르를 논할 때 릴 펌의 Gucci Gang과 함께 가장 먼저 언급되는 각 장르 내에서의 대표곡으로 평가받고 있다.
미고스나 릴 우지 버트 모두 빌보드 핫 100의 첫 1위 곡. 1위에서 내려온 후에도 무려 14주 동안 차트 10위권에 머물렀다.[5] 2016년 노래이지만 2017년 1월에 대박을 쳐서 2017년 연말 차트 6위를 기록했다. 미고스가 진정한 슈퍼스타로 발돋움한 계기가 된 곡이다.

[1] 지금 시점에서는 굉장히 올드하다는 느낌을 받을 수 있는 노래이지만 이 노래는 2016년에 나온 노래이다. 즉, 당시 기준으로는 엄청나게 트렌디한 노래였다는 것. [2] Bad and Boujee는 2016년에 발매되어 2017년 히트를 쳤으며 Panda는 2015년 말에 발매되어 2016년 히트를 쳤다. [3] 2018년에 나온 Culture II와 릴 펌프의 2집이 비교적 혹평을 받으며 정통 멈블랩은 쇠퇴하기 시작했다. Culture II는 대중적으로는 성공하기는 했지만... [4] 정작 이러한 싱잉 랩을 유행시킨 장본인은 이 노래에 피처링한 릴 우지 버트로, 릴 우지 버트는 2017년 XO Tour Llif3를 내서 엄청난 인기를 끌며 싱잉 랩이라는 장르를 유행시켰고, 이러한 싱잉 랩은 2021년 현재까지 유행이 지속되어 힙합이라는 장르가 다른 장르와 융합되게 하는 계기가 되었다.
